泰博公司至今對工會仍然持續各種打壓，最近連馬尼拉經濟文化辦事處（簡稱菲辦）都加入了與泰博資方狼狽為奸的行列。幾個月來，菲辦人員不止一次到泰博公司與資方接觸，上週，菲辦人員再度拜訪泰博，並由資方欽點數名移工與兩名較新的工會幹部分別訪談，其間，菲辦人員表達「工會抗議可能導致公司關閉」的恐嚇訊息，試圖阻止工會活動。泰博並且請他們欽點的幾位移工於3月9日親自到菲辦接受訪談

3月10日，泰博資方的假工會張貼一封由菲辦一位工作人員署名的菲辦信件，內容完全扭曲不實，與資方唱和。

因此，我們要在3月15日到菲辦舉行記者會，並請鄭重邀請貴會/貴團體聲援！我們要揭露菲辦人員的濫權、與公司的勾結與對工會的打壓。我們要要求菲辦不可違反國際公約和我國法令，勾結資方和仲介打壓工會或爭議的移工。我們更要抗議菲辦不當介入台灣的內政，幫已經被勞工局罰鍰、勞動部三令五申請告的惡劣資方背書！菲辦人員如此濫權、與資方或仲介勾結，這不是第一次了。我們要告訴菲辦：如果不能協助移工，就把你的髒手拿開！不要干預工會！

訴求：
1.請菲辦說明前述行為和信件是否為菲辦授權？
2.請菲辦說明為何與泰博聯手打壓工會？
3.請菲辦對其人員濫權、偏袒並勾結資方之舉做嚴厲處分，並向工會、全體移工和台灣政府鄭重道歉。
4.請菲辦承諾今後不再發生類似事件。

TaiDoc Crushes Unions—Why is MECO Aiding the Oppressor?

To our colleagues in the Media:

TaiDoc Corporation is engaged in a ruthless campaign of union-busting, and now the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) has joined this conniving alliance with management.

Over several months, MECO officials have repeatedly met with Tai Doc leadership. Last week, MECO returned to the factory to conduct “interviews” with migrant workers hand-picked by the boss and two new union leaders. During these sessions, MECO officials deployed scare tactics, claiming that union protests would lead to the company’s closure—a transparent attempt to intimidate workers and paralyze the union.

On March 10, TaiDoc’s “puppet union” posted a letter signed by a MECO staffer. This letter is a complete fabrication, a piece of conniving propaganda designed to parrot management’s talking points and distort the truth.

We are holding a Press Action on March 15 at the MECO office to expose this abuse of power, this backroom collusion, and this direct assault on workers’ rights. We demand that MECO stop violating international conventions and Taiwanese law. We vehemently protest MECO’s illicit interference in Taiwan’s internal affairs—acting as a shield for a predatory employer already fined by the Labor Bureau.

Our message to MECO is clear: If you will not protect migrant workers, keep your dirty hands off us! Hands off the Union!

OUR CORE DEMANDS:
Verification: MECO must state whether these conniving actions and letters were officially authorized.

Accountability: MECO must explain its joint effort with Tai Doc to suppress the union.

Discipline & Apology: MECO must severely punish officials for their bias and collusion, and issue a formal apology to the Union, all migrant workers, and the Taiwanese government.

Prevention: MECO must pledge that such interference will never occur again.
